Review: Patch Adams

Patch Adams (1998)
“Laughter is Contagious”
A film about a man, so incredible… they made a film about him!
Pictured left is the real Patch Adams. His character is played by Robbin Williams.
Plot: Funny man rebels against system. Loses a lot. But gains the wisdom to change the system.
Review: This was a very special movie. Just like any Robbin Williams movie, you laugh, you cry, you laugh some more. And then you go “oh! That was cool”. And then, at the end, it just lets you down.
So. A man who thought that medicine should be Holistic. Just like, Holism. He believed laughter and comfort were one of the prime tools in medicine. And he incurred a lot of wrath from the cold, distant, “objective” medical establishment.
But “Patch” won.
So maybe the system can be replaced with a more humane one after all.
Mr. Adams currently is building his clinic and has two sons with pretty strange names.
The movie is very much worth a watch. Five gun blasts for Patch Adams
You can find this movie in any good movie store or torrent tracker.
