I was raised among a family of believers, so I was immersed in the Gospel and church from a young age. Through the shepherding of my local church and my family, I learned about my need as a sinner and the gift of forgiveness that Jesus offers to those who trust in Him. I prayed to receive Christ as Savior and Lord when I was six. I remained a believer, but it wasn’t until my junior year of high school where I began to wonder what it looked like to have a daily walk with Jesus. During my senior year of high school, my youth pastor and his wife began to help me see how to begin this daily walk, seeking Him in His Word and in earnest prayer.
Coming to college, I knew I wanted to find a community of believers, but I was afraid and unsure if my faith in Jesus would make it through college. I had a lot of questions and doubts, but God met me in those uncertainties and weaknesses. Towards the end of my sophomore year at Centre College, Annie Sostok came to our Kappa Delta Bible Study and my roommate invited me to weekly campus meetings. Through CO, God helped me understand the unsurpassable gift of knowing Him and how to share the gift of the Gospel with my classmates and sorority sisters. I began to feel that God had called me to pursue CO staff towards the end of my senior year, and He graciously made His call clear in Thailand during the CCP 2024. God allowed me to see the need among the ripe harvest fields, and hearts that were eager and ready to learn about Jesus and how to walk with Him. I am thankful for the opportunity to form partnerships through support raising, and to see what God is continuing to do on the campus in the hearts and lives of so many college students!
