Growing up, I had always believed that if you were a good person, you would get into Heaven. I always believed that there was a God and a Jesus, but had no idea who they were. It wasn’t until I was fifteen where I had heard the good news of the gospel and learned about how Jesus died for my sins and rose from the grave. I remember accepting and believing in that, but I didn’t see my true need for Jesus until I was twenty-one years old. I had always put my best efforts into school, cheer, work, and the relationships around me. Those things I depended on a lot, never failed to leave me disappointed and hurt. After many years of heartache, I had finally given up putting my efforts into the things of the world and to say yes to the one true thing that has always been with me ever since my first encounter with him, and his name is Jesus. Seeing how big my sin was, made me see how much I needed Him. I repented of my sins, and devoted my life to following Christ when I was twenty-one and chose to say yes to what He had for me. I didn’t know what saying yes looked like, but I have found many ways to say yes to Jesus through Campus Outreach. I am excited to see where the Lord takes me!
