Campus Staff, University of Kentucky
I come from a small town called Eminence, Kentucky and grew up in a Catholic family--cultivating in me a works based relationship with the Lord and towards salvation. The more I did, the better I was, and the more pride cultivated inside of me. I idolized being known and loved by those around me and the works I did. It was not until I came to Georgetown College in the fall of 2016 that my idols of pride and comfort came crashing down, and a large part of that was through the people and involvement of the ministry Campus Outreach. It was here during my freshman year of college that I heard the truth and magnitude of the gospel for the first time and saw my own sin clearly. Through Campus Outreach I was given the tools to grow in my faith, walk along other believers, and encourage nonbelievers during my four years at Georgetown. My husband Nick and I met while in college where we were both involved in Campus Outreach. CO played a huge role in each of our walks with the Lord while in college and benefits us to this day as a married couple.
For two years after graduation I worked as a 6th grade language arts teacher in my hometown before coming on staff at the University of Louisville in the fall of 2022.
Nick will graduate from Bellarmine's Physical Therapy school in May 2024 and then we will be transitioning to Lexington and the team at Campus Outreach UK! We loved our time in Louisville and are so excited to be in Lexington with the opportunity to lead lost students to Christ just like me 6 years ago. I will be forever grateful to this ministry of believers and servants of Christ.
